Honoring Life. Finding Comfort in Christ.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles." – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Planning and Caring

Funeral and memorial services are an important way to honor your loved one, celebrate their life, and find comfort in God’s presence. At Christ Lutheran Church in Hendricks, MN, we provide compassionate guidance and Christ-centered support to help families navigate each step. Our goal is to create meaningful services that reflect the life, faith, and legacy of your loved one while surrounding you with prayer, care, and community.

Scripture & Hymns

Families can choose meaningful Bible passages and hymns that reflect your loved one’s faith, life, and legacy. Our pastoral team is happy to offer suggestions and guidance so the selections resonate with both family and congregation.

Service Planning

We work closely with you to outline the flow of the funeral or memorial service. From welcome and opening prayers to the message and closing rites, we ensure the service honors your loved one while providing comfort and hope to all attendees.

Music, Eulogies & Traditions

Music and personal reflections are an important part of celebrating life. We help coordinate special hymns, solo performances, and eulogies. Families can also include unique traditions or rituals that were meaningful to their loved one.

Memorial Keepsakes & Gifts

If you or guests would like to send flowers or make memorial gifts, please contact our church office. Our staff can help coordinate deliveries, provide guidance on memorial options/vendors, and ensure your thoughtful gestures are properly arranged for the service.

Your Funeral or Memorial Day

Before the Service

Arrive early to meet with the pastor, review final details, and allow loved ones to settle in. This is also a time to connect with staff regarding memorial programs, flowers, or music.

During the Service

The service will provide opportunities to share memories, offer prayers, and celebrate the hope we have in Christ. Our pastoral team will guide the ceremony with care, compassion, and dignity.

After the Service

Families often gather with friends and relatives for a reception or meal. This is a time to share stories, grieve together, and support one another in faith. The church can provide guidance for memorials, keepsakes, or columbarium arrangements as desired.

Grief Support

Losing a loved one can feel overwhelming. Our Together in Grief support group provides a safe, Christ-centered space to share, listen, and find comfort with others who are grieving. Meetings are open to the Hendricks community and are facilitated by trained staff.
