Before the baptism day, families or individuals meet with our pastor for a short preparation session. This is a time to talk about what baptism means, what to expect in the service, and how to nurture faith at home.

We celebrate baptisms as part of our regular worship services. Because baptism is not only about one person but about the whole Body of Christ, our congregation takes part in welcoming you or your child into God’s family.

Arrive a little early so you and your family can meet with the pastor, go over final details, and feel comfortable with the flow of the service. This is also a good time for photos and introductions with your sponsors or godparents.

Baptism takes place in the midst of our worship service, reminding us that faith is always lived in community. You’ll come forward with your family, sponsors, and loved ones as the congregation promises to support you in faith. Through the water and God’s Word, you (or your child) will be marked with the sign of the cross and welcomed as a child of God forever.

Once the service ends, take time to celebrate! Many families choose to gather with loved ones for a meal or special get-together. You’ll also receive a baptismal certificate, candle, and keepsakes as reminders of this important day. Most importantly, you’ll leave knowing you are surrounded by God’s promises and by a community that is here to walk with you in faith.
